Harbour / Shoreline Partnership Programme
Cleaning Our Harbour and Shoreline
While Providing Effective Solutions for Team Building and Community Involvement.
Cork Harbour Waterkeeper is a non profit environmental organisation whose mission is to protect, preserve and restore Cork Harbour and its shoreline and aims to provide an improved quality of life for all citizens, whether in terms of drinking water or recreation, or whether they simply value Cork Harbour’s continued well-being. It accomplishes this mission through advocacy, education, litigation and conservation programmes. It is funded almost exclusively by individual donations and grants.
Harbour & Shoreline Cleanups
Cork Harbour Waterkeeper’s most successful activity is our shoreline cleanup programme, encouraging communities to take part in shoreline cleanups in their particular stretch of Cork Harbour. So far scores of volunteers have removed tonnes of debris from the environment. Yet the littering continues!
This programme always needs new volunteers and funding to sustain it. So why not join us?
Cork Harbour Waterkeeper is devising an education programme and will be visiting schools in the Cork Harbour catchment area, creating an awareness of the importance of our environment and securing it for future generations.
Protecting the environmental credibility of Cork Harbour.
